Since June, Worrall has been there for his sister every step of the way as she underwent surgery and numerous rounds of chemotherapy. In essence, he has been her coach through the process, encouraging her to fight on no matter how bad she felt, no matter how much pain she endured, no matter how much she wanted to give up. Not that all has been easy for Worrall, either. During the last six months, he has lost two uncles to cancer, watched as a third-grade daughter of one of his former players has battled leukemia and has guided the Mediapolis boys basketball team Ta to a 3-3 start to the season despite the loss of three senior starters to injury in the early going. While basketball always has been Worralls passion, it has become a saving grace this season, an outlet to get away from the turmoil and strife going on around him. And it has helped him put things in their proper perspective.
